I had quite a few ants in my breadsticks from the Olive Garden at 71st and Memorial. That was probably 7-8 years ago.

When I was a kid we used to get those gross sweet rolls in the little flat aluminum pans. My little brother got one of them with a wasp baked into the edge. At least he saw it before he bit into it.

I got a band-aid cooked into an order of pressed duck once. I also got a fingernail in some enchiladas. I just consider it one of the hazards of eating out a lot.

Think of all the things we don't find....

Does anyone else remember the stories of fingers found in Bama Pies? Was that just urban legend?

I've had fried crickets, chocolate covered ants, sauteed snails, even got drunk and had 1/2 a fried slug once...that mouse in the loaf of bread would've made me scream like a little tiny girl.

Woof! That's nasty!

Did anyone else ever hear about the "omelet incident" in the early 1980's at Helmut's Alpine Kitchen?  It's where Village Inn is now near 27th & Harvard.

I found a bug in a Banquet Sliced Beef TV dinner back in the late 80s.  It was under the meat, so I didn't find it until after I had eaten the meat.
