Has anyone else ever found "something" in food

Yesterday I was driving around doing some project work and decided to stop into burger street on Harvard.....I get a bacon cheeseburger and curly fries(love the fries)....also order a chili cheese dog for a friend with me...I eat most of the burger and toward the end..I feel something funny in my mouth..I take out the hard object I just bit on..and its a BIG piece of glass! I couldn't believe it..I thought stuff like this was just made up by freaks who want money...but ya...it was a big piece of glass! I called the store..they told me they would pull the box of meat(it seemed to be in the meat and not in the lettuce etc...but I couldn't be sure) but really didn't seem concerned about ME....

I wasn't hurt but couldn't eat the chili dog or rest of the burger...I am not looking to sue them but really its disturbing how they really were not concerned about me.(didn't even ask if I was hurt etc)..but just wanted the piece of glass and rest of the burger....

Anyone ever dealt with this or know what should be done..I at least think I should get some free food

First thing you do is DON'T hand away the evidence to them.  Now they can claim you just made the whole thing up.

I once found a pineapple wedge in my nacho cheese sauce.  At least it was edible, but not welcome in my nachos.  I also bit into a rock in my taco bell burrito supreme.  Also found swimming little flies in my bottle of naked juice orange juice.  Lastly and the most disturbing was finding some lead pellets in a ham and cheese sandwich.  Do they butcher hogs these days with shotguns I asked thm.

Hubby found a band-aid in a KFC pot pie.  Yea..we don't eat those any more.  I found a pube on a pizza...after some of the TV shows you see...that wasn't much of a shock...NASTY...but not shocking.

One time at Taco Bueno I found a freakin' wire in my chicken taco.  I was in high school eating with a guy I liked and wanted to impress with my delicate manners, hard to do with a wire in your mouth.  I think I faked a coughing fit to camouflage my smooth move getting it out.

Now, I realize that could have meant a whole lotta free taco's.  Such is the dumbness of teens!

Staple in a enchilada from El Chico's once. Not a mamby pamby staple either. It was one of the large copper(or whatever they are made out of) staples you see on large boxes.

This reminds me of my high school days when a friend of mine worked as a delivery driver at Hemi's Pizza. They had a list of regulars who didn't tip. When someone from the list called in an order, I witnessed some of the nastiest stuff done to their pizza. Not cool.

Remember, always tip your pizza delivery person.

I found a live bug in my food about two months ago. The establishment is considered a high end place to eat located in Brookside. I won't name it because honestly, when you are dining out these things happen. Sometimes you catch it, most times you don't.

And no, it wasn't Brookside By Day. Roaches are part of the atmosphere at BBD. It's like eating at Ranch House on 3rd but with outdoor seating.

My girlfriend found a live maggot in her eggs  one time at Denny's.  I was there and saw it.  We left immediately and informed them we weren't paying.  No argument from them.

found the fingertip of a blue latex glove in my bag of trail mix.  never found the finger . . .

Broke a tooth on a pastry with pecans on it from a local baker with a good reputation. They said they doubted it was a shell but paid for my crown anyway. Good business to do that.

Almost forgot. When granola first came out it was a small producer who packaged it in cellophane packages and sold it at health food stores. It looked like the material a forest trail would be made up of. Twigs, berries, nuts etc. Ate a half a bowl of the stuff before realizing some of the tiny black berries were moving around on their own. I laughed it off. The company was bought by General Foods.

The only thing I can recall in food is a long time ago when I was a kid- we opened a bag of potato chips and found it crawling with little bugs or ants. We took it back to the store for a refund. As for burgers, I twice got ill after eatting Wendy's burgers so now I avoid them. I don't for sure if the burgers made me ill, but I don't see what else it could of been and it happend twice.

I found half a roach in a spinach souffle once, and I don't want to dwell on where the other half went.

In a restaurant, I discovered I was sharing my salad with an inchworm.  He wasn't happy with the vinegar and oil, but at least I knew the salad was fresh.  Our waitress actually jumped back when I pointed him out to her.
