Hey Porky,

remember when you said it wouldn't get built?

Your comment on parking is just as informed as that comment years ago.

Calm down, Swake. The YMCA is still standing. [;)]

I still remember that brilliant morning talk show host saying it wouldn't be built. "We have cranes in the air!" he would say almost every morning, before any Vision 2025 cranes were actually up.

Metallica in November

I bought their self-titled 1991 album, sometimes called The Black Album. It was a huge seller, a real mainstream commercial breakthrough for them at the time.

I never had any of their earlier albums, but have heard several of the better known songs from them. They are certainly one of the definitive bands in the metal genre.

I remember them playing in Tulsa sometime around 1992. In a local interview one of the band members commented that Tulsa seemed to have more metal fans than OKC.

I have all of their early albums, and stopped buying them at Loaded, which is the one just after the Black Album.  That (The Black Album) was their panacaea, so to speak.  Not much more to do after that one.  I think their best album was And Justice For All

Yeah, it's called "Get off your fat a$$ and walk a couple of blocks." I think Richard Simmons is making a video.

Me too. Same section and row - Saturday night.  A friend of mine got the same section for Friday.  Wonder if that the 'pre-sale' section...

we weren't very picky about which show we were going to go to.  so, i went through every show trying to find the best seats.  depending on which day i chose, i got either sec F1, F2, F3, or F5.  the furthest back that came up was row F in sec F3 for saturday afternoon.
