Anyone been there?  Stay away.  I looked up their website and was shocked to learn that this was started by the Rutkauskas' (the same couple that started Camille's).  First time I went there I ordered a couple of coneys.  They bring be a couple of luke warm dogs with chili and "sam's club canned cheese".  Gross.  I can't believe any establishment calling themselves "coney (anything)" would serve up coneys with cheese whiz.  I haven't been back, but ate there again today because I noticed a sign that says they now serve "Rex's Original Chicken".  I love Rex's Chicken.  I knew it well, and let me tell you that was not Rex's Chicken that I ate today.  It was awful.  Hard little rocks, too salty, dry meat, spices and texture were not close.  I would rather eat Chicken McNuggets than those again and I don't eat at McDonalds.

There is only one place for coneys, the original Coney Islander.

I ate there once while going over to your house. The two coneys and a drink were like eight bucks. I haven't been back.

There website says that they have about thirty types of beers there, including Fat Tire. Do they really have Fat Tire beer?
Power is nothing till you use it.

I just learned that the Fresh Berry is also theirs.  That is another concept that I just don't get.  Basically you can have 1 of 2 flavors of soft serve ice cream - dark chocolate and "tart" (tastes like bitter cream cheese).  The same two flavors, that's it.  You mix in some fruit, nuts, or granola (there's about 9 mix in choices, I think), and pay about $5 for a small cup, no joke.  I think even the kids cups were close to $4 each.  Maggie Moos and Coldstone are both overpriced, but still cheaper than this place and have much better ice cream and more variety in their flavors and toppings (mix ins).  Like I said, I just don't get it.

The heresy involved with opening up a rival coney joint in this area is unbelievable.  It reminds me of when Zooks opened up in the Old Coney Island spot downtown, prompting the real Coney Island's sign about "No phoney coneys served here."

Yeah, the Zook's downtown was just alright.  About 2 years later I drove up 21st near Sheridan and saw a Zook's sign.  I went in to give it a try.  The owner actually bought the name but the coney's were F$##ing awesome.  He also re-vamped the "Zook" dog which was very good too.  All you can eat was $5.00.  He only stayed about 1 year and then moved to bartlesville or something.  too bad.

I had a similar experience.  Ate there once, 2 coneys, cold fries and a drink was around 8 dollars or so.  The place was empty when I went, so I should have known better.  I haven't been back since. (and that was over a year ago).

That'd give me a reason to go back. I wasn't all that impressed.  I'd be surprised that Fat Tire was there because I was told you couldn't buy it here because Fat Tire needs to be sold cold and our liquor laws prevent it.

I do like fresh berry..its okay if I want something different than ice cream or a overpriced starbucks..and its not really that unresonable under 4 bucks for a kids size(which in reality is all I want to eat for sweets)...coney beach..never been...have not really wanted to go....but I have heard it was over priced as well...Papa murphys right next door to fresh berry..now there is some good take and bake pizza!

chas22

I went to Coney Beach last night and had the chicken It was really good.  Maybe it's taking them some time to get the hang of it. The first time I went they were a little overpriced.  But after last night I will make a return trip.
