I personally think that the laws should state that a compantacy test needs to be past before getting your license.  But, since this is not going to happen, I'll just keep driving the way I do, in other words, if your an idiot, I will run you over.  If you do not yeild to right away, expect to get a mouth full of bumper.  If you try to adjust your speed to enter traffic in an intelligent way while getting on the highway, then I will make room, if you expect me to slam on my breaks so you can get over, you will figure out why I pay the extra money on gas so that I can drive a SUV.

Think of all the things that really should require an initial competency tests (with retesting);
  • Driving
  • Having children
  • Owning a handgun
  • Voting

But if we did that, half of the population would be stuck at home, unable to drive, shoot, have children or vote...

I think I was trying to find a "down side" but it's not working.

Did many of you see the coverage yesterday on the news about the girls who drove into flood waters and had to be rescued by OKC firefighters?

Then today, on ABC's Good Morning America, the girls get their mugs put on national television and interviewed by a national celebrity.  Nothing like rewarding stupidity.

I didn't see it but yeah that's ridiculous. If anything they should put the firefighters on there for saving their lives - then let them reiterate how stupid it is to drive into water like that.

DEE-Dee-dee.

Hey, at least it took the focus off Paris Hilton and Chris Benoit for a couple of minutes. [B)]

You'd better hope good spelling isn't a requirement.

One thing I've noticed when I'm in Idaho is its against the law there to block an intersection when stopping for a stop sign or traffic signal.  I'd like to see a similar law enacted in Oklahoma.

Last time I checked, every Christmas there would be a hoard of cops who were out on Tulsa streets ticketing anyone who did such a thing.
