WOW! But So-What
Forgive me for not completing this project with information... The building permit application for this project was filed on May 7, 2021. The new construction will add substantially to living options at Chisholm Creek, joining the 287 units at the Argon Apartments, 13600 North Blackwelder Avenue. Adding to the 180 acre development with more projects planned for the future. Chisholm Creek will have 587 luxury apartments with Chisholm Creek comprised of the really upscale establishments in Uncle Julio's, Red Solo Pub, Cabela's, COSTCO, TopGolf and an Events Center. Concerts at the Creek feature live music every Thursday and Friday night and Coffee & Cars happens the first Saturday of every month. Special events like Battle of the Brews and a Halloween party for kids are just examples of the types of activities Chisholm Creek offers. Chisholm Creek has rolled with the punches and has actually expanded its square footage with its newest addition, The Shops at Market Street, and added several new concepts to its dining and retail offerings. The Shops at Market Street is a new strip of boutique retailers at Chisholm Creek. The new addition opened in March and features an impressive mix of local flair and new-to-market national brands. Established local retailers like Plenty Mercantile, Shop Good, OKC Soda and Apple Tree Chocolate have opened locations there as well as national-restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick. Graphics by Marcus Elwell Velocity / Development / October 14, 2020 Developments like these which are under constructions, being planned with solid financial footing has helped boost Oklahoma City's growth in the last 10 years. Mayor David Holt reacted, 'One is not usually surprised by Census data, but today’s news was a bombshell for those of us who follow this topic. The official 2020 count exceeded the most recent estimate by 18,740 people.'OKC's 2020 growth estimate was 662,314; adjusted to a final count of 681,054.

Leonardo DiCaprio pays surprise visit to the recently opened First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City. DiCaprio (left) is pictured with James P. Henry (Center) and OKC Mayor David Holt far right, who hosted DiCaprio.--Photo credit: FAM museum. Leonardo DiCaprio toured the museum as 'Killers of the Flower Moon' filming wraps up in Oklahoma. DiCaprio visited the museum as its team of Native American filmmakers was installing the video elements into the Origins Theater, which shows animated short films telling the genesis stories of four tribes: the Caddo, Pawnee, Yuchi and Otoe-Missouria. Over the past few months, DiCaprio showed up in several Oklahoma museums' as he visited various state landmarks, sometimes with his "Killers of the Flower Moon" (the epic Martin Scorsese Western) with some castmates and crew. The prolific actor also toured the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.
