Quote
DURANT, Okla. (AP) - Police say a beaver that bit a 5-year-old Durant boy when the youngster tried to pet the animal can't be tested for rabies because the child's father damaged the beaver's head too much in beating it to death.

Durant police Lt. Carrie Wyrick had said earlier this week that the boy's father killed the beaver Saturday with a crowbar or lug wrench, and its head was sent to authorities in Oklahoma City to test it for rabies. But a Durant police report said the test could not be conducted because of the damage inflicted on the beaver's head when it was killed.

Police said the family was encouraged to have the child treated for rabies, to be on the safe side.

Wyrick said the boy was attacked after he and a sibling went outside to retrieve the family cat and the boy tried to pet the beaver. The youngster was treated at a local hospital and released.

Hmmm, went out to grab the cat and wound up petting the, uh, beaver.  WTH is Breadburner? This is right up his alley.

"Ward don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night?!!"

Yummmm....petting beaver! That kid will grow up to be a real man someday!

He'll have some wisdom knowing the damage those beavers can inflict...

It's not the beaver that's the problem, it's the life-support system that is.
