The Dilly Deli downtown (2nd and Elgin in the old 1974 bar location) looks like it's getting closer to opening. They just put a bunch of colorful signs up on the exterior, advertising food, beverages and a bocce court.

Anybody have any more details or an opening date for this place. Is this an indoor or outdoor bocce court?

It will open in some capacity in time for St Patrick's Day. I heard it was supposed to be similar to Cosmo's but don't know how true that is.

If they have real pastrami, I'll be thrilled.

I'm guessing the fenced in area on the left is where the bocce will go.

Sorry for the crappy picture. I just went and took a bunch of better ones but my memory card was empty when I went to read it.

The larger windows along Elgin are a huge bonus.  Always felt closed in before.
