Oklahoma State Quarter

Its almost here! Set to be released Monday.

What do you guys think? I like it. I was really hoping that it would not have an oil well on it. []

This design with our state bird looks very appealing and well, green to be honest. Makes me feel good, I think its an image of our state to be proud of. []

Going to pick up a few rolls at the bank next week.

I'll say it could've been worse.  It could have looked like our future license plate.

As much as I hate to agree with inteller twice in a week, I'm not a big fan.  

It's a bird.  Yay.  I don't dislike it, it's just not anything exciting.  No one, but no one is going to look at this and go "oh yeah, that seems like Oklahoma."  Every state has a state bird, and while ours is pretty interesting it is not that unique to Oklahoma.

Almost every other state one would be able to guess by the design.

Looks good.  Might not be the greatest design, but it seems peaceful and quiet...


Much better than the first design that didn't work in the vending machines.

You remember...  The 2 dimes and a nickel wrapped in duct tape.

Perhaps ours should have been a John Steinbeck novel with a football crashing through it! (A little State history lesson there [}:)] ).

No, I'm just glad our quarter didn't highlight any of our State's sources of income. I don't like any of the statehood quarters that do that. The Wisconsin quarter with the cow is the dumbest one, in my opinion.
