Do you have this all written down in a ranking system? I think I might go for a high score...

Some Phillips stations do, some don't.

The one close to my house is normall .01 cheaper than the nearby QT.

Phillips does not sell E10, the only other gasoline I know of around here that does not contain E10 is Sinclair.

Wal-mart/MurphyUSA was doing it before QT.

Oops, I forgot, wal-mart stuff is the same as everywhere and cheaper... and with rainbows.. please don't kill me wal-tang clan.

You forgot teddy bears and gumdrops

well of course, you "grew up in Tulsa" so it must be better!

do they pay you to write this stuff?  I have these visions of communist Russian propganda posters with the QT workers standing side by side:

"QuikTrip, For a Brighter Future and a Better Tomorrow! GO To QuikTrip and Support your Comrade Today!"

Ok, Inteller, You hate QT.  We will leave it at that.  With your communist allusions, you have lapsed into the ridiculous, and carried this thread with you.

You give absolutely no reason for your opinion, and that's fine.  We expect this from you.  I am sorry for calling you a moron, that was not nice.  I am also sorry for calling you an idiot in the past. That was not nice either.

Your goal on most threads, is not to provoke intelligent discussion, but to invoke emotion, and generally disrupt the subject so that all other posters will focus on you.

I will offer one piece of advice, your attention seeking behavior would be far more devastating and, therefore, rewarding to you, if you were to choose opinions that you could foster and/or offer actual support for.

At least FOTD (who seems to suffer from a milder form of your disorder) provides some weak shred of integrity to his posts by actually providing some sources and evidence (goofy as they may be).

You simply serve as "The Thread Killer", scaring off intelligent conversation and leaving posters like myself to spiral down your yellow brick road to crazy.  But, after all, that is your goal, so congratulations!

Ya think QT could use some bright LED signs like Sonic?  Naaaaaaaaaah.  Forget it.[:P][:P]

I used to be a faithful QT follower, but then two things happened...

1.   Their premium went from 93 to 91 with no price decrease.

2.   The news outed them for adding 10% ethanol to their fuel and not disclosing it to the public.

Since then, I have found places to buy gasoline not gasohol.

Gaspar

I have never had any problem with 10% ethanol fuel.  Does it really cause problems for people, or does it just burn hotter in older cars?

Oh, and, Over the years QT coffee has just gotten better and better.  Used to be like battery acid, but now it's great!  Since places like Cafe' Bona and Starbucks can't find it in their heart to open before 7:am, I find myself saving money at QT at least 3 days a week.

Gasohol gets greatly reduced gas mileage.  (Best numbers I can find are for E85 rather than E90.)

Certainly, the lack of energy content in E85, which accounts for the two percent to 30 percent loss in gas mileage, is not to be discounted especially by the public.

Wingnut

QT used to have a guarantee on their gas that if you have a fuel related problem and can prove you used their gas, they would pay to fox it. A guy I used to work with had claimed on it before. I don't know if they still do that or not.
Gasohol used to cause lots of problems with older cars. Not much anymore since cars are now made to use it. Carter would not warranty their products, (carbs, fuel pumps, etc,) if gasohol was run through them. The alcohol would actually eat on the parts, causing them to disintegrate.

QT uses E10, not E90

Gaspar

I've run everything from boats to kit-cars on it with no problems.

Also, Southwest Chicken Wrap deli-sandwich, Awsome!

Thanks, I didn't realize which way it went..    my 50% chance was wrong.

izmophonik

I wonder how many of these Ethanol haters drive massive SUV's?  Doesn't anyone see the intent here; Taking away if only a small piece of dependency on foreign oil?  Puhleez, you can get more efficiency from you car by inflating your tires to proper pressure and not accelerating to stop signs and red lights.  Within a year everyone will be on E10 anyway.  Studies that have been around since the 90's, by even the DOE, have shown that E10 and E15 gas is better than your regular gas, giving a 2.5 point increase in Octane for only a 3% loss in MPG.

izmophonik

So, if you lose 3% MPG on a 25MPG car you'll get 24.25MPG...whoopty doo.  Plus you burn cleaner fuel and save a little foreign oil in the process.  C'mon sheeple.
