Gov Henry Signs Tax Cut Bill

Among other things it eliminates Franchise Tax on small business and creates a back-to-school sales tax holiday.

I'm sure the city of Tulsa won't be helped by less sales tax, mo matter how brief.  Not sure of the impact of the Franchise Tax.

Glad to see it. Less $ out of our hands and into the government's is always better.

Now if we could just chop back government waste we could cut taxes even more without impacting the budgets of programs that are actually necessary.

As long as the state is paying its bills, it should cut taxes.  If it cannot pay its bills, it needs to reduce its expenses. [;)]

According to this morning's Whirled, this month's sales tax check from the state was about $2mm higher than this time last year.  Apparently our whole MSA had higher revenues.

The tax holiday is a good idea. Many other places do it.

If you don't enjoy carnage, avoid electronics stores on that day.
