For those of you in the know (or more so than I), has the legalization of Tattooing change the rate of tattoos in the Tulsa area?  Either being done here, or people who would just go to Joplin and have them done... As I understood it, getting a Tattoo wasnt really an problem even when they were illegal.

Also, has or is the quality of artists in the area improving or going down as more shops are opened?

Just curious.

I think they have improved. Many established artists moved here (Like Psycho from Shreveport and another group from Miami) to take advantage of the new market.

Personally, there's never been anything I was passionate enough about that I'm confident I'd look back in 30 years and be glad that I got one.  It's just not for me.

I'm glad to see it is finally legal.  There's obviously a demand for it, and archaic, prudish laws to protect people from themselves is rediculous.

The tattoo law is one of those things that gives people what they want and sets some sanitary standards by regulation.  I don't see though how it really polices whether every tattoo session is done according to code.  Just another business tax as I see it.
