Davaz's "Tulsa-Not-Now" Blog.  Me thinks someone needs to get a life.

Poor widdle Davaz got a boo-boo on our forum.[:(]

Chris

If he hates Tulsa so much why doesn't he just ignore it?!

The guy lives in Houston.  Houston is a huge city, but I definitely wouldn't consider most of its residents to be forward-thinking.  People in NY and LA view Houston the same way people in Houston view Tulsa.

Tulsa- too poor to support an upscale grocery store?  -Bulls***.  The demographics of Midtown, South Tulsa, or Owasso easily support an upscale grocery store.

As for the organic food market, Tulsa already has a successful local grocer: Wild Oats Market.  The fact is, Wal-Mart and SuperTarget have taken a big share of the grocery retailers' market throughout the US, and offer many organic products themselves.  That alone probably keeps Whole Foods from expanding more than anything else.

He should've moved to Davis, CA.  If he thinks the grass is greener in HOU, he'll be sorely DISAPPOINTED.  They are widening I-10 to EIGHTEEN lanes.  Wow!  The six-laners around here are enough to send me into a flying RAGE.

That's right, people.  Keep paving the whole joint til the whole town is nothing but a parking lot.

How did you find this?

I was browsing around on the city-data.com forum, when I just happened upon a link to it.

I think it's kinda sad that he puts that much energy into hating Tulsa and even blogging about it.

Apparently, that's what it's like to have no life.

Rowdy

LOL!  That is the epitome of NO LIFE.

RecycleMichael

The funny part of his ridiculous diatribe against Tulsa is that he says we don't have the per capita income to support a store such as Whole Foods.

Whole Foods, Inc. started and is based in Austin, the 84th highest per capita MSA in the country. Tulsa is the 87th highest with the difference $85 per year per person or about 23 cents per person per day difference in income.

If only I had an extra 23 cents, I would send him a postcard and tell him to F... himself.

AKiN's is also here.

but I forgot... a supermarket must be the preferred format for people who are into organic foods... guess the lack of a Whole Foods explains why Tulsa is so "podunk"... now I know... [8)]

Davaz is a very, very sad man.

PRH

Why don't you who don't like this guy go post on HIS on website?

You just keep giving him free "press".

The guy goes out and starts an entire blog called "Tulsa-not now" and it is we who are obsessed? As far as I can tell, this forum hums right along 24/7 with nary a mention of Davaz until one of his incarnations rears its ugly head and people step in to give him his comeuppance. Stumbling across a blog by Davaz that is anti-Tulsanow and anti-Tulsa in general is deserved of some mention.

PRH, you seem to have no problem stepping in and providing some of that "free publicity," perhaps it is you who are obsessed.

And  btw, with a signature like yours, surely you don't find it difficult to understand why people might think you are merely a somewhat more restrained version of our good old buddy Davaz do you?
