Help! Need some computer help please.

Have had my computer set so when I log on to one of my sites that I use I will stay logged on unless I remove the cookie. Now it has started not respecting that and every time I leave on of these sites I have to log back (with user name and password)to re-enter. I checked my security settings and all appears normal there. Help
