The Comprehensive Plan Task Force presented its draft report and recommendations to the City Council on Tuesday, November 15th. The Task Force consists of representatives from City Council, the Mayor's Office, the Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners, and the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (TMAPC).  The offices at INCOG, the City's Urban Development Division, and the City Council provided staff support.  The City Council will review the draft proposal and consider a resolution adopting the process in the coming weeks.

You can view the Transmittal Letter, Draft Report, and Draft Process, with Adobe Acrobat.

You can download all the information from the council website: http://www.tulsacouncil.org/

I am very pleased that the public will be encouraged to participate and be provided this type of access to the information right from the start of this process. This is a step in the right direction.

I am also excited to see that this task force has reccomended exploring form based codes. Please contact your state legislators and encourage them to support legislation to provide matching funds from the state to provide the means to fund this desperately needed planning process.
