Good Morning-

I had not been out to the vision 2025 website in a while, and stumbled across the following PDF.

I found it interesting that the Arena is going to be smaller then what the designer said it would be. Yes it will have a maximum capacity of a little over 18,000, but that's concert venue, center stage. From my understanding from what Caesar Pehli said was that it was going to be built with 18,000 for NBA seating.  Now, don't get me wrong, I just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page. Reading the website, it appears that it's going to be a bit larger for some events, and that's great. I was looking at the FedEx Forum site, and found that the Basketball court size to be 18,300, ours will hold 17, 534, BUT when it comes to center stage, we will hold 18,041, and the FedEx Forum only holds 17,441.

It is also shocking to see that we are expecting to only spend 127 million leaving 56 million for the convention center revitalization project.

The only issue that I can find so far with this project is that it's running late, really late. It is not projected to open until March of 2008, and the convention center won't start construction until 2007 and open in October of 2008. With this project taking so long, is this project going to be over budget?
