Checked your brake lights?
I see so many cars around town, on a daily basis, with various burned out bulbs, or no brake lights at all.
I know that since we quit doing safety inspections I have seen more and more cars that are unsafe.
I know there was something in the works awhile back to bring back safety inspections. Anyone know anything about it?

I've seen tons of one-headlight cars.

Mine beeps at me constantly if a bulb is out. Drives me bonkers.

Most brake lights are tied into your turn signals...

If you find it blinking about double speed from what it normally does, you need to replace a light.

I don't keep my cars long enough for a bulb to blow out. Five different cars in 2 years, not counting the wife's two.

I am sick. I need help.

Wow, at some point you are considered a dealer.  I think a family gets 4 sales a year - you'll have to watch that.

Jiffy Lube checks mine every ~4,000 miles.

i'm not sure if restored2x has ever had a vehicle come up for an oil change.

Oil change? What's that? When you trade in a car they give you another one and it already has oil in it. Gas too. Is that what you mean?

I used to have a car that got 100 miles per gallon. Unfortunately, it was oil, not gasoline.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Since the demise of full service gas stations and the State Inspection, people are lazy and don't check their lights and turn signals anymore.

Inspections were worthless and correctly recalled since fewer and fewer outlets offered inspections (low fee/profit motivation, $5 iirc).

Lights burn out and need replacing.

Besides, that's what tickets are for. And, we all know those who ignore road safety often have other violations. It all tends to catch up with them when they get stopped for a light issue.

Most newer cars have indicators for burnt out bulbs anyway.

Whatever, but don't even consider bringing back inspections. If tried, it's only another one of Kathy's revenue enhancement tricks. Properly done, it's going to take a $20 fee minimum, which is impossible for many. Only forces good people to an illegal posture. The public screws causing a continued downward spiral of civility.

Having a driver's license and being insured should be enough.
