Golf cart cops

This may seem rather minor, but I spend a lot of time downtown and frequently notice the cop in the golf cart.

Why is taxpayer money being wasted on a golf cart for that guy to drive on sidewalks? It takes up the entire sidewalk.

It makes us look rather rinky dink to have a cop in a golf cart sitting around downtown, especially since he wears a football jersey instead of an actual uniform.

The guy should be on foot and in an actual uniform.

Anybody else bothered by this?
