I'm sorry, I don't really see anything offensive in his original post.  Knowing Red's history on here, it's some light-hearted humor.  I'm not blood Indian but grew up in a household with a very strong Native American influence for a father figure.  I'm pretty sensitive to Native American issues but I also call them honestly (like casinos per se) and fail to feel an ounce of racism in his comment.  Had it been something to do with a common stereotype like drunken natives, I might be more tempted to speak up.

You weren't around Native Americans enough then, not like I was.  That would absolutely have been taken as racist.  African Americans would have taken that as racist as well.

Guess that must be the difference between RA and myself...

Re-read, I fail to see the offensiveness:

I read that as the interlopers would never have survived without the help of the natives.  Adding on by saying "must be genetic" is hardly a racial slur.

Believe me, I grew up with the tip of a belt as a reinforcement tool against racial epithets.

As I said on the FB post, I'll be there after the hockey game (likely around 10pm).

Also, as I said on the FB post, you and FMC need to make a game, even though we're sucking again this season.  It's always fun.
