Maybe I just have not been paying attention to the break down of my monthly bill. I received it yesterday and it reads.
1.$255.46 current usage.
2.$98.33 truck fuel.
3.$4.98 local tax.

Truck fuel ? Are you kidding me !
I dont know, maybe I dont want to know what I am being bent over for. I guess my boss should start charging our customers for the gas it takes us to get to work. It is not like they are driving to my house to deliver the electricity to me. Does every disaster i.e. ice storm, hurricane, 9/11 etc.etc......have to be paid for by us ?

You dont expect them to pay for upkeep out of their profits, do you?  [:o)]

In a regulated world, yes.

You pay more in sales tax for an $150 MP3 player than PSO keeps in profit on $150 electric bill.

Many states (California, 75% of Texas) opted to go deregulated which means the companies have to eat those costs. However, that also means electric rates increase 50-100%.

Do you own a business or is that a residential bill?  Mine doesn't read that way.

Residential bill. That is the first time I have noticed that on there. I know that they had a rate hike do to fuel cost and the ice storm. But I just thought they would word it like the Phone Company to where even a Lawyer cant tell you what the charges are for.

Thats wierd I already paid my bill but there was nothing like that on there.  I'll check out the next bill and if I remember to post I'll post the details.
