Again doubleA...you can't get the facts straight.

You said we would already be on the dirty air list without the agreement. That means we would have failed last year or the year before. We didn't. You are either confused or purposely lying. I think it is the second because it allows you to attack everybody else and blame them.

Complaining must be your reason to exist on this forum and truthfullness need not follow.

I laughed my donkey off when I read that in the Urban Tulsa. That weekly has no credibility in my opinion.

I already told you about trying to put your words in my mouth. Do you have some kind of oral fixation? That would explain a lot.

From the EPA website:

As long as Early Action Compact areas meet agreed upon milestones, the impact of nonattainment designation for the 8-hour ozone standard will be deferred.

In the EAC, there will be three deferrals for the years 2004 to 2007, and as the area meets milestones, it gets another deferral.  Tulsa would show attainment under the EAC, but be listed as non-attainment - deferred in update, and would need to continue to develop control strategies through the EAC process.

EPA officially designated nonattainment areas in April 2004. That is, the areas would have been designated nonattainment if they had not previously entered into the EAC. As long as  Early Action Compact Areas met agreed upon milestones, the impact of the designations would be deferred.

Has Tulsa been given deferrals for meeting milestones where we would have other wise been in violation? I stand by comments.

All the PR in the whirld still doesn't change the fact that the status quo
Ozone Alert plan isn't cutting it anymore. I warned you it wouldn't last year.

If you only had the facts on your side, doubleA.

You seem so bent on attacking the volunteers who work for a cleaner Tulsa. Did you soil yourself as a child too often and develop an anal fixation?

If you read the facts, you would know that Tulsa's air is getting cleaner.

Please pay attention...we signed an early action compact in case we failed. We would be given options by EPA. But we didn't need to enact it, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T FAIL.

The three year period ending in 2007 saw these numbers and the second set is for the three year period ending in 2008.

Central monitor .078  .072
North monitor   .080  .078
South monitor   .073  .071
East monitor    .080  .075
West monitor    .077  .075

Tulsa's air is getting cleaner.

This despite the fact that the 10% ethanol in our gas started appearing at the end of the season last year. The blended gas is probably causing much of our issues.

Tulsa's air is getting cleaner and cleaner. It is in large part because of the ozone alert program. Unfortunately, the EPA changed the rules and Tulsa is going to fall into non-compliance.

When you attack citizen volunteers who work hard to cleanup Tulsa, you look bitter. When you lie or make up facts, you look desperate.

Sorry, doubleA. No one buys your bitter, desperate negativity around here.
Power is nothing till you use it.

RM...I just learned, last week, that the city is fined for exceeding it's air quality standards on O.A. days.

...I have also, just recently, started to recycle.  Maybe the fine is common knowledge...however, it's new to me.

Any efforts to educate consumers on this fine?  I am sure there are tens of thousands that are unaware.

Maybe gasoline should be $10/gallon on OA days---that'll help tremendously. LoL
