We moved back to the Tulsa area las August, and were disappointed to find out that Camerelli's closed it's doors.  Sad news.  My husband and I had our first date there.  I loved Sundays there.  I loved the bruschetta that nobody else makes quite right.  It was fun to have the little band on occasion.  Who would make my favorite Shrimp alla Vodka, or any of the great Italian seafood dishes they prepared so wellCecil the waiter was wonderful, so nice all the time...

I was not COMPLETELY devastated till I found out that Pomodori's also closed!  Does anyone know if the owners opened up any new restaurants, or if they plan to?  If not, is there a restaurant that even comes close to these in terms of food?

I'm pretty devastated about Pomodori's, too!  About 10 years ago, I was lucky enough to get to travel to Italy.  The only downside was that I returned to Tulsa unable to fulfill my cravings for real Italian food.  (I remember coming back home and having to attend a business lunch at Zio's...it was a terrible shock to my new tastebuds!)  I like Tucci's pretty well, but Pomodori's was my favorite substitute. (Without travelling to St. Louis and beyond for the real thing!)

Ti Amo's. Problem solved. I've always considered those three to be in the same league...with Ti Amo's the best of the three by a sniff.

While I never ate at either of those places while the were open...you might consider Napoli's.  I know the one is Owasso is amazing...and I think there is one in BA as well.  It is owned by an Italian family, and while they have several restaurants..they seem to avoid Tulsa, for the smaller venues.

Good Luck.
