The stakeholders said our little 6-8ft low-water dams were too small and upsized to 18ft which gave up a "12mile lake"

If you're going to do that, why stop there? I 60-70ft dam downriver of bixby should let use develop the river all the way to keystone wouldn't it?

We now have the billions of dollars coming if we build a dam and increase the water level in the river twelve feet.  Is there someone out there that realizes all wealth comes from the earth?  Ever city is going to develop their river banks.  It takes millions of dollars to develop the river plus the flooding that it will cause.  The dikes on the Mississippi river increased the flood in the lowlands when the dikes were breached.  The dikes in New Orleans destroyed part of that city,  The folly of developing the River can be compared to the floods throughout the country where every square foot of ground is covered with impervious materials thus increases the runoff into the rivers that nature has provided.   Brookside is built on the river bed  left by the eroding banks as the river has meandered to the south.    The ’84 flood showed that the river has not been controlled.   The flood on the Mingo entered the river miles downstream from Tulsa.   It’s flood waters had no effect on the Keystone discharge.

It will bring in billion of dollars?  Where is the dollars coming from?   The money we are circulating today, is it not debit money?  If we returned to having to pay 20% down on all purchased would we not be bankrupt in the matter of a month?

There is a bright side whereas if a couple of bombs are landed of the east and west coast we would be in line to prosper.  That will not happen as it would remove too many of their countrymen that are here.

Today we stand in ecstasy and view that we build today'
Tomorrow we will enter into the plea to have it torn away.

I hope they build more jogging trails, The RiverSide jogging trail also needs to be rebuilt, much of that trail is old and cracked and crumbling. That new lake could have a 12 mile jogging [:)]trail around it. I'm not too keen on that river island thing. I think that's too costly and flooding dangers to unknown.
