Anyone know where to find a list of bands/events/times happening at the fair?

tulsastatefair.com = worthless

BKDotCom

Err thanks!
Earlier that whole menu system wasn't showing up for me.  ( I recall having a script error ).

What night is Frank Stallone playing?

Geez...could our fair music be any $@ittier.  I guess no one really goes to the fair for the music though...come to think of it, who actually goes to the fair period?

I do.

It's a nice, compact fair. I've been to a number of state fairs, and I like Tulsa's a lot.

And in terms of music, you're going to have a few lame acts at a state fair. Goes with the territory.

Personally, I'd have no problem seeing Gary Allan (whose last CD, released after the suicide of his wife, is heartbreaking) and Asleep At the Wheel. And Ronnie Milsap, to my mild shock, put out a really good album a few months ago. He's on the comeback trail.

I love the fair and a $hitload go.....

Asleep at the Wheel is playing Thursday.  I certainly don't think they're $@itty.

I like to go each year, just to see what new food they've decided to batter & deep fry.

Asleep at the Wheel is one of my favorite bands as well. I have seen them at least a dozen times in Tulsa, mostly at the Cains.

I plan to go to the fair the final weekend just to see the sugar art show.

It is an amazing art show that is being covered as a special again by the Food Network.

One of my favorite fair memories is the day that the kids sell their pigs. There is this amazing scene of a pen full of kids and pigs with a truck and a big ramp to load the animals.

Half of the kids are crying because they are losing their pets and the other half have more money in their hands than they have ever had and the midway is just steps away.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Hey, Ronnie Millsap and Rick Springfield are good.[}:)] The best day to go would be Sunday. Those are good oldies bands. Who doesn't remember Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. [8D]
Adopt an older pet. Help them remember what it feels like to be loved.

I went last year for the first and only time. The fair here is a joke. If they cannot do better than this, they should hang it up.

What...you don't like Frank Stallone or country fried mullets?

What in the f*** is wrong with the folks on this board and who is davaz? I gave my opinion on the fair, nothing more and nothing less. You mean it is required that we all feel the same way? What a bunch of crap.

As I've mentioned previously, Tulsa State Fair is one of the three things I miss most about not living in Tulsa.  The NC State Fair is about the same size, but spread-out over more acres, making is not as compact as Tulsa's.  With the improving facilities at Expo Square, Tulsans should be very proud to have such an exceptional event.

I go for the animals, the exhibition booths, and of course the food.

For those interested, here are a couple of websites, listing state and county fairs across the US:
