Recent Census Estimates show the metro area growing nicely. I didn't run the statistics, but I believe this indicates the growth rate is picking up.

These are county estimates, more detailed estimates will be out in May.

Metro Tulsa Counties - 2020-22
1. Tulsa: +8,086
2. Wagoner: +5,658
3. Rogers: +3,591
4. Creek: +946
5. Okmulgee: +284
6. Pawnee: +206
7. Osage: +16
Total: +18,787

Metro population (OKC for comparison)

1,475,313 - Oklahoma City (1,441,647 - 2020) +33,666
1,034,118 - Tulsa (1,015,331 - 2020) +18,787

More good news on the Tulsa MSA population front.

2023 Census MSA estimate: 1,044,757, an increase of 10,709 from 2022. (1.04% increase)

For reference, the growth rate between

2020-2021 (.8%)
2021-2022 (.8%)

Very positive momentum for Tulsa!

The slowing rate is not Tulsa, nationally immigration is down, deportations, forced and voluntary, are up and births are way down. This has massive and bad implications if it continues and our population ages. Thanks Trump.
