A Pew research study has issued a statistical breakdown of America.  Some interesting tidbits:

- 46% of people want to ban books that have "dangerous ideas" from public libraries.  And that's at an all time low!

- 64% in favor of the death penalty.

- 56% support stem cell research.  36% opposed. 12% were undecided.  The highest demographic for  opposition was lower educated, white, and elderly.  Strange that there is a racial correlation.

- 38% of Americans say they are living comfortable.  28% say they can meet their needs with some spending money.  32% say they have just enough or do not have enough to meet the basics (but still survive, somehow.  Our standards are too high).

Anyway, plenty of fodder for discussion!
