How many people enjoyed the revised schedule of DST? I for one have a PC that still likes to change its clock every other week since the changed date.  Others are reporting no real energy savings.

You might want to like... install the appropriate patches from your operating system vendor.

I liked it.  I like coming home to daylight.

Sure puts a kink in my Peeping Tom hobby.
Heck, seems no sooner then I can get started then everyones already turned in.

Hmmmm, maybe it does save energy.

Like we established in the other DST thread:
DST has nothing to do with saving energy.. it's about spending money.   People are much more likely to get out and spend when the day-ball is up.

But yeah.  just about every computer / backend system has somehow been affected by the change.  Patched or not.

Meh-didn't mean to duplicate another thread.  Ouch.  I had no idea there was a patch for this time issue for XP.

I have enjoyed it...More daylight at the end of the day to get chores done outside....Have not turned on the A/C yet....

I'd hate DST if I worked the day shift, I always had a tuff time getting up in the morn...However, Since I work 2nd shift I kind of like DST. I don't mind it at all. I know it's ruff if your pulling  1st shift hours or start ultra early hours like 5am or 6am- it's ruff, I agree with that..

Day-ball.[}:)]  Nice.  I didn't actually get any yardwork done, but it's nice to know that I could've.  I think it's cool.

Chris

I love having it be light later into the evening.

My computer runs Windows XP.  It is set for automatic updates.  It did not change the clock this year for the earlier DST, so about a week later, I manually changed the clock.  4/1/07 came and went (the old DST change date) and my computer did not adjust the time again, so I assume the MS software correction downloaded eventually.  We shall see what happens this fall when we switch back to standard time later.

Yeah I turn off the Updates cause I dont want Microsoft snoopin my PC.  Maybe yours wont do it again...

It is nice to have more daylight. People are less depressed the more they are subjected to the sun during their day. Of course there is a point where there is TOO much daylight

There is not really any more daylight, just because we fiddle with our clocks.  If you want more daylight during your waking hours, just adjust the times you get up in the morning and go to bed at night the best you can.

Messing with our clocks has no effect whatsoever on the sun, the orbit/rotation of the earth, and the amount of daylight.  I think DST is a silly waste.
