I found pages 101 and 102 to be particularly interesting, since  it's happening in my hood.

Thanks for putting the Green back in Green Country!

That Rebuild store sounds interesting. I think people will get it confused with Restore, though.

Yeah, I'd say there is some bias.

I love the ad on page 99 for "Downtown Tulsa's Largest Pot Dealer"

tulsacyclist

That was a good read. Makes me want to recycle and be more 'green'.

Your just sayin that cause your pic is in there. [:P]  But, yea I am going to try and start recycling.  If I can just figure out the best way to have 3 more trash cans, paper, glass, aluminum, that is both convenient and won't ruin my decor.[:P]

Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

You should talk to your City Councilor about finding out if your neighborhood could be included as part of the once a week garbage pick up pilot areas. I might be wrong, but I think this program includes recycling pick up.

Grass Is Greener Up On The Roof
KOTV - 3/1/2007 9:59 PM - Updated 3/2/2007 7:55 AM

Imagine having grass on your rooftop or bamboo on your floors. Sound primitive? Quite the contrary. It's the latest thing for environmentally-friendly construction. And it's happening in Tulsa.

Architect Shelby Navarro is the designer and developer for a duplex near Cherry Street in Tulsa. It incorporates just about every environmentally-friendly technique that he can think of. The walls are made from pre-fabricated panels, filled with foam, that are both strong and energy-efficient. The bamboo floors look and feel just like hardwood, but don't destroy slow-growing trees.

And there is a rooftop garden where real grass and dirt provide top-notch insulation and UV protection. Shelby Navarro says you might be the only one on your block though who mows your roof. "You might have to get up there and use a weed-eater on it a little bit, but it's usually a slow-growing species that's pretty low-maintenance."

The house even collects rainwater for later, non-drinking uses, like flushing the toilet or watering the lawn.

I just saw that model at Dwelling Spaces yesterday and then last night I saw it again in the window of CB Urban Real Estate's office at 15th/Quaker.  It looks pretty nice under the light in the window.

This is probably just wishful thinking, but does $389,000 buy the duplexes and the single family home?

Yes, but not these particular ones...
The ones it goes buy are located on the Salt Flats out west... Only accessible by twenty mule team rapid transit.  [8D]

Double A

Seriously, what does it buy? Both duplexes, or just one?
