Tulsa area gains 9,000 jobs in year

The Tulsa World is reporting that the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission says that the Tulsa metro has added over 9,000 jobs since this time last year and now has the highest number of people employed since 2002.  

Tulsa has added 2.3% more jobs in the last year, OKC added 1.4% more jobs in the same period and the state as a whole added 1.5% more jobs.

Unemployment in Tulsa was at 3.9%, OKC is at 3.8%.
