Recycle Michael,

How much are places like Borg paying for Steel and Aluminum per ton today?  Just curious.

It depends...wadda you got and how much?

I get just a few pennies per pound for my steel cans, but they are coated in tin and smell like soup and/or dog food.

I saw that Yaffe has upped their price for aluminum beverage containers to 53 cents a pound. Your average beer cans are about 31 cans to the pound. That's over ten cents per six pack (and why are you throwing them away, you non-recyclers).

Here is a link to the page on my website that lists all the local recycling companies...

http://www.metrecycle.com/directory.htm

It lists everybody who accepts and or pays. Call around when you have a bunch, or donate to The M.e.t. at locations all over the metro area.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Just wondering why an American Car, 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SL that runs fine slight front end damage to grill, lights and 5mph bumper, plus the Air Bags were deployed, is only worth $99 at the Car Crusher.  Catalytic Convertor brought $95 almost as much as the rest of the car.  LOL

No wonder GM, Ford and Chrysler are having financial problems.  People have discovered there is less than $100 bucks in material in their entire car.
