The last page has a link to a fairly detailed map.

Your link just points to current stories on KOTV's site, and none mention I-44.  Furthermore (and quite surprising) a search on the term "I-44" on the entire KOTV site turns up nothing about the widening project.
Could you please send a link directly to the story to which you refer?  Thank you!

appears that quite a number of houses & few businesses will be affected (demolished) by the construction.

A lot will. That plan is pretty old though so it's not an exact representation.
