The City of Tulsa will be holding an auction on November 1st.  See www.joepippinauctioneers.com

Why is the city using an out of state auctioneer?  Don't we have qualified auctioneers in Tulsa?

We have no talent pool in Tulsa.  We outsource everything.

Maybe there is a good reason.  I just think the city should try and keep business in Tulsa whenever it can and then if it can't then in Oklahoma whenever it can.

I would agree with that. This has been a severe sore spot for me, especially when I find out about a city development project being helmed by out of town architects.

That's a lot of cheese sauce machines.

I think I need an ambulance or a soft serve machines.. or stadium seats...

It occurs to me... I didn't know the city owned a boat but they got a ton of spare parts.

I guess it would go a long way to decrease the potential for conflict of interest.  Appearance of impropriety is a very important subject in government.

I'd be interested in the beer tap and sewer pump parts so long as the beer tap is un-used.

Hey, even better stuff like a tool bag with bolt cutters, crow bar, and portable drill.  Wonder what that stuff would be useful for...

I've already placed a few bids. I am debating whether to bid on the pretzel warmer.

The sewer pump and beer tap are one unit.

It usually falls to bidding issues.  Someone in Tulsa may be qualified but bid much higher then the out of town dude.

Where's the live auction going to be held?

This is my favorite item...

"Four Brown Tweed Placemats with Pair Bamboo Placemats-Gold Table Runner and Red Sheer Curtains".

I was wondering what city department these were surplused from...

I also like these...

"Asian Style Cup with Road Trip Charger"

"Three Cases Matchbook Cars"

"5ft artificial ficus tree w/brass colored pot"

"Box of Blotter Calendars 2008 with Bulliten Board"
Power is nothing till you use it.

Some of it is more than likely unclaimed eveidence from the PD Property Room.
