The Dilly Deli downtown (2nd and Elgin in the old 1974 bar location) looks like it's getting closer to opening. They just put a bunch of colorful signs up on the exterior, advertising food, beverages and a bocce court.
Anybody have any more details or an opening date for this place. Is this an indoor or outdoor bocce court?
It will open in some capacity in time for St Patrick's Day. I heard it was supposed to be similar to Cosmo's but don't know how true that is.
Bocce! That's exciting!
If they have real pastrami, I'll be thrilled.

That just added a +10 on the cool factor for the place!
I can hear it now......."Bring your balls to the deli" or "come play with our balls" :o

I'm all about the bocce!
I'm guessing the fenced in area on the left is where the bocce will go.
Sorry for the crappy picture. I just went and took a bunch of better ones but my memory card was empty when I went to read it.
Hey all-
The Dilly Deli opens Friday. there are four sets of two balls for everyone to enjoy Bocce. Have fun
The larger windows along Elgin are a huge bonus. Always felt closed in before.

His next project is in the location of a former weather anomaly.
Will it be an Irish-Mexican sushi deli?
