On KMOD's Facebook page they are saying that Phil Stone has died.

Just when you thought they were poised to take a big step after leaving Clear Channel.
Sad doesnt describe it.  He did the Roy D. Mercer voice, unless Im mistaken.

The KMOD website is now down.  Not just the Phil Stone page, but the entire website.  Wow.

You're mistaken.  Brent does the voice.

I literally grew up listening to him.  I believe he came to KMOD around '79 or '80 and before it was Phil & Brent it was Phil & Jeanne Summers (aka Jeanne Triplehorn).  I'm rarely in shock but this one really smacked me upside the head.

Something I read online, posted by a CC employee leads me to believe that he had been sick. It was something to the effect that he didn't think it would happen "this quick".  Cry
