Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting at 19th and Garnett. Police say it happened shortly after midnight Sunday at Saigon Palace. The restuarant wasn't open to the public, but had been reserved for a private party.

Police officers say a fight started inside the restaurant and when it spilled outside, someone pulled a gun. Police found nine shell casings at the scene.

Tulsa Police say one person was shot in the hand, another had a cut across his stomach. The News On 6 is told both victims are going to be okay.

One tragedy doesn't make that area any less safe than midtown...

Oh, the only way I allow somebody to buy me lunch is if I sing for it... I'll be there, though.

Conan71

Nine shell casings, and only one wound to a hand.  Someone is a crummy shot. [:O]

I will be at Pomodor's at noon on Tuesday.

I can't get there any earlier because I am teaching a class on the shot put at our adopt-a-school.

I owe cannon fodder, conan71 and sgrizzle lunch so if you guys show, I'm buying. The rest of you will have to find another way to get me to buy your lunch next time.

We need a head count.

Man, a one day notice.

I'll do my best but as of yet cannot make a guarantee.

More than that, you replied to the post over a week ago.

People I do not owe lunch to (yet)
can also attend.

There are some others who have attended past lunches...waterboy, the Artist, ttownclown and others are welcome...

I forgot what day it was.

I tried to go yesterday and forgot to go today.

RecycleMichael

You were missed.

The best part of the lunch was when USRufnex sang Happy Birthday to that crowd of lunch-goers in the next room. I have no idea that he had an opera career in an earlier life, but he still has the pipes.

Does anyone know who they were? There was a Highway Patrol car outside and the people next to us never took off their sunglasses. I assumed they were secret service...so the birthday girl must have been someone important.

I don't have a clue, she sure looked like Kim Henry, but yes, USR stole the show at lunch.  Great Job!

Give it up Rufnex...tell us about your singing history...

And no lies...just because waterby and I were spinning yarns during lunch doesn't give you the option to do it.

Really, where have you sung before?

well, let's see... once sang Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca at Opera de Lafayette...

France?  No.  Quebec, maybe?... nope.
Lafayette, Indiana.  [8D]

Hey, you've been a great audience... tip your waiters... and try the veal. [:P]

My keyboard and my kellogg's were definitely no good substitute.

cannon_fodder

I'm sorry I was not able to attend... I'm closing on a property and had to deal with that over my lunch. Argh.
