Frostwire?

My thirteen year old wants to log on to Frostwire to download music. He says its free and safe...'all my friends do it dad!".  I see a virus in the making or worse. Anyone have experience with this site?

It's another Gnutella client, just like all the rest.  If you aint payin for it; I'd stay away from it...unless you like getting certified letters from the RIAA.

As long as you have a good virus scan, you should be fine.  As for the legalities of it, lawsuits are few and far between.  I will say that there is a lot more than just music on those types of sharing programs.
