Pivey, those pics are so nice! I wish I would know how to put an album together online and share it with others.[:(] Oh well, some day I'll learn how to do that.

It's so nice to know that a few of you are familiar with SD.It was a pleasant surprise to see pics of the Hills posted here.[:)] It really is nice out in the Hills and in the Badlands and I hope that all of you get the chance to spend a few days there in the future.

Pivey, it looks like you got the chance to ride the 1880 train. It does take it's passengers through beautiful country, doesn' it? It also looks like they're coming along nicely with Crazy Horse. Hopefully it'll be done in our lifetimes and we can see it the way it was intended to be. As far as Mt. Rushmore, we just HAVE to see it every time we go out there. Not sure why cause it doesn't change, but it's just a MUST SEE.[}:)] Did you get a chance to take a dip in Evans Plunge? Since it's natural spring water, it's supposed to have healing powers. At least that's the legend. It's so cool to see that you were in Deadwood, too.[8D]Did you get to go into the Midnite Star? It's Kevin Costner's casino and it's really nice. Did you get a chance to visit the Franklin Hotel, which has now been renovated? We didn't go inside since it's been redone, but we were there in the past. It's the hotel that they show on the Travel Channel that is supposed to be haunted. If anyone gets the chance to go out there the end of Aug., you'll have to go to Deadwood's Kool Summer Nights. We had friends come all the way from New Jersey to spend time with us in the Hills and they were so impressed. They couldn't believe that Deadwood actually had street dances and people walked around with open containers and cigs and everyone was so peaceful. They said it wouldn't be like that in NJ if there was an event like that. And don't you just love Spearfish Canyon? It's our fave place and we had to drive through there twice on our last trip there. It just gets more beautiful every time you see it. And the clear, clear water in the Creek is absolutely amazing.[:O]Ok I'm done rambling. If anyone ever wants to travel this direction and needs some info, I'd be glad to help cause I've asked SO many questions of all of you.[:P]

Pivey, I see you've been to Fla., too. It's just so nice down there in some areas. We have family that live there and like to make it down there every other year. SeaWorld is definitely our fave there.[}:)]

Usually late october to mid november. It varies a little from year to year depending on coolness of the weather, days of sunshine versus cool temperatures, etc. Have a nice, safe trip. BTW, Dallas actually has some decent fall foliage as well. Another place the chosen ones from the weather channel have ignored.

Jammie, thanks for the kind words. The SD trip with the scenery and beautiful cars were a once in a lifetime deal. And I got paid for it!

I was on a tight schedule and didn't see some of the things you mentioned. If I had, there would be pictures :)
