I'm a consultant, have spent a lot of time in Atlanta, Dallas, DC, Orlando, St. Louis, Palm Springs. My common experience in these cities is that when I arrive (usually late at night on a weekend), I can go to a grocery store and get a frozen pizza for the microwave and a bottle of wine. OK, Tulsa has Vintage, Prive, Polo Grill where you can get a great glass of wine -- but why the heck can't we buy a drinkable bottle of wine in a grocery store after the liquor stores have closed? Another thread talks about liveability in Brookside and Cherry Street (I'm a MidTowner) - in St. Louis and California I've been to a wine tasting at a liquor store that also sells cheese and bread. How cool would it be if Ladonna's on Cherry Street could have a wine & cheese pairing evening?
Can Tulsa be a "grown up" city?
