How do you decide upon what dealership to visit?

I refuse to shop at a dealership with annoying broadcast media ads:

"Hurry, market test survey sale ends Saturday!!! Bring your wife and your title and we'll dicker!!!!"

Screaming announcers and cheesy gimmicks don't appeal to me.

Once I narrow the field that far, there's usually a particular manufacturer and model I have in mind.
