We Just Lost A Soldier

I'm sorry, but I can't find an appropriate place to put this. I don't want this on the political part of the forum because I don't want the war discussed on this thread.

We lost a friend in a terrible battle Sunday night. He had grown up just east of here in the town we used to live in. He and his family now live in the same city we live in. Greg had just spoken to his bro Sunday afternoon and told him he'd just gotten back from a terrible mission and was leaving that night to go on an even worse mission. Greg told his bro to tell everyone that he loves them. He had been taking medical training and had recently saved the lives of two soldiers. When the army came to tell the family of their loss, they thought the army was there to give them the medal that had been awarded to Greg. As soon as they got out of their vehicle, they knew what had happened by the look on their faces. There were also two other local boys wounded in the same incident.
My hubby and Greg were friends and Greg had just bought some things from hubby before he left. He didn't have a place to store them, so hubby said he'll keep the things until Greg come back home. Hubby and Greg's bro were just putting together a packet of silly things to send to Greg. Anyway, I just hope you will all keep Greg's family in your thoughts and prayers.
