"This is the sort of orchestra Tulsa could have again if the city and its people just put forth the effort."   James Watts - Pavarotti Farewell Concert - Tulsa World Review September 19, 2005

The Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra was forced to close their doors 3 years ago. Fortunately most of the musicians have remained in Tulsa and are currently playing for Tulsa Opera, Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, Light Opera Oklahoma and most recently, the acclaimed Pavarotti Farewell Tour Concert.

"The orchestra had only three rehearsals over the course of two days to prepare for this concert, but it played well that some people - all right me - nearly wept with joy at the sound."  James Watts - Pavarotti Farewell Concert - Tulsa World Review September 19, 2005

We would appreciate it if you could write your city and community leaders. Now is the time to help put the former TPO professional musicians back to work!

It will take all of us working together in order to rebuild a new professional Tulsa Orchestra using the Former Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra Musicians.

"Pavarotti demanded the best orchestra the city could produce.  He got what he wanted. Tulsans should demand the same, and make sure that this group does not become just another memory of what was here."  James Watts - Pavarotti Farewell Concert - Tulsa World Review September 19, 2005
