MC and I were on Brookside to eat this evening and noticed it looked like Mecca Coffee had gone dark.  No sign on the window, just a vacant storefront.  After checking their FB page, they moved the first of September to 1330 E. 41st St. across the street from Whole Foods.  I keep forgetting they have a south location as well, which it sounds like they just remodeled: 10114 S. Sheridan.

It’s always been one of my favorite Christmas gift stores for my foodie friends and they have some great coffee, gourmet oils and balsamic vinegars.

Michelle needs to do a better job of spreading the word of the move.

They have some good prices on spices too.  The south store usually is prepackaged in plastic bags, you don't pay for a spice jar each time.  The Brookside store sells spices by the ounce.
