From KOTV

"PIEDMONT, Okla. (AP) _ Americans who moved from the cities to the suburbs now seem to be moving even farther away.

Counties up to 50 miles from city centers are among the nation's fast growing areas both nationwide and in Oklahoma.

Canadian County west of Oklahoma City and Rogers and Wagoner counties north and east of Tulsa each saw a more than ten percent population increase from 2000 to 2005.

The only other county in Oklahoma with a ten percent or more growth rate is Marshall County where analysts say the growth is probably due to retirees moving near Lake Texoma."
