Definitely nothing like this in Tulsa. Maybe the recently opened oyster bar in okc called the drake compares but other than that this place will be unique to OK.

My only question is which store is leaving Center 1? I don't recall seeing any vacancies.

I think it is going in back of the parking lot in a building that had been a hair salon.

Brookside has done really well even with the Downtown growth.

The closing of Riverside sure has made it difficult to navigate. I wonder how that has affected their business.

I live near Brookside and go through there a lot and I expected much worse traffic when Riverside closed.  It is a bit more congested, but generally not that bad.  I'd be interested in how this has affected revenue.  It could be that they have actually seen an increase in business, as there are more/different people driving down Peoria now, rather than bypassing down Riverside.  So they see the shops and restraints restaurants, and may frequent them more.

Maybe I'm blind but I have no idea what building your talking about. The only building I'm able to find that resembles the renderings is blue moon cafe :-(

Here's the website, and here is where google maps takes you with the address.  Still really confused.  The google map stakes you accross the street and down 35th from Center 1.

http://www.virgolausa.com/brookside.html

https://www.google.com/maps/place/1326+East+35th+Street,+tulsa,+ok/@36.1133839,-95.9743906,3a,75y,185.95h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m4!1s11R5EGv0k6j-vTa7zvtWdQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x91112ea3f4f08bf3!6m1!1e1

That looks like this place, 1311 E. 35th: https://www.google.com/maps/@36.1133869,-95.9751365,3a,75y,358.94h,79.25t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sTgV3_yMBqdFeHGaxC3opYQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1

But google maps non-street view shows it as this place: https://www.google.com/maps/place/1326+East+35th+Street,+tulsa,+ok/@36.113078,-95.9746806,67m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x91112ea3f4f08bf3

I suspect the latter is right especially since their website lists it as 1326. Guess it's gonna be tucked away in the parking lot back there.

So it looks like saying it was going in to Center 1 was the mistake.  Glad they are going to fill up an empty space!

Center 1 owns or manages that space?

I didn't think so. The article quoted abersons so I am thinking they may have just put the wrong shopping center name.

I live near Brookside, too.  To my eyes, the vehicle traffic has gone up *significantly* on week nights, but isn't as noticeable on the weekends.  It makes sense, as you have a ton of people commuting south down Peoria on weeknights instead of Riverside.

As for Brookside itself, it seems that business in general has picked up over the past several years.  I think the additions of Urban Outfitters and the shops in Place One like On A Whim and such have really helped.  It's really become a nice shopping/eating/drinking destination area instead of just (mostly) eating and drinking with a few retail options.
