Never heard of this one. It may be listed in the next issue of "Sports & Fitness" that the Runner's World store has on Peoria.

I'm doing the "Run To The Son" Race this Monday 8:am at the ParkView Baptist Church at 61st & Sheridan. It's a 5K run thru the area neighborhoods, it's a fast quick race- chip timed. It's a hoot, this will be my 3rd year running this event. The weather is supposed to be great all thru the holiday weekend in the upper 90's and ya can't ask for better weather than that.

I came in 2nd place in my age group in the "Run To The Son" race. There were about 200 runners. Overall I came in 25th. Had a good time, but not happy with my time, old age is slowing me down.

It's different. They are not doing the KCBS sanctioned bbq competition. They are just having a street fair sort of event.
