This won't mean much to many, but this guy used to be in Tulsa and was at one time the most hated man in town.

ABC's Sam Donaldson SLAMS Michael Delgiorno

In Nashville on Wednesday, Super Talk 99.7 WTN's Michael Delgiorno was filling in for fellow talk show host Ralph Bristol who normally does the morning show.

Bristol does a regular segment where veteran news anchor/reporter Sam Donaldson who retired from ABC News will call in and discuss with Ralph the topic at hand which usually runs political. In Ralph’s absence this week Delgiorno took the call.

Donaldson has had a long career in the media. He once reported from the Vietnam War, he’s covered Reagan and Bush, out of all the things a person could pick his brain over, Delgiorno asked Donaldson why Obama wouldn’t just hand over an original birth certificate to satisfy the Birthers who refuse to accept that the President is in fact a citizen of the United States.

Obviously annoyed at first Donaldson answered " I guess you're asking the wrong person aren't you Michael." but that didn’t stop Delgiorno who kept on and on with all those moronic  Birther talking points when Donaldson told Delgiorno he should look into his heart and question himself on why he really hated the President so much. Michael said he hated the President because of his politics but went straight back to the Birther conspiracy.

Delgiorno, who had just been b*tch slapped by the 76 year old reporter didn’t seem to take the hint as he kept trying to shove Birther meat down Donaldson’s throat until Donaldson had finally had enough when he commandingly told Michael to “Get a life!” not once but twice.

Delgiorno took it on the chin, let Donaldson go and that was the end of the show.

Sam Donaldson always annoyed me.  It's been long enough now that I don't remember the details of why.  Having said that, this birther crap is just that...crap.  I remember Delgiorno's name but don't remember listening to him.

He was essentially Tea Party before it was Tea Party.  Against Vision 2025, claimed to be a born-again Christian, then got tossed from the Cherokee Casino (back before it was the Hard Rock).  To me, he was the epitome of hypocrite.  Vehemently anti-lottery, if I remember correctly.

A friend of mine who passed recently worked with him at CC (Clear Channel).  He said his dooshery was even worse off-air.

Doesn't surprise me he's a birther.  He a huge attention whore.  Anything that will get him face time is ok, no matter what it is.

Man, he's still an A-hole.

I remember when he was attacking KRMG's Joe Kelley after he was hired but BEFORE Kelley had even reached Tulsa.

It was worse, as I recall.  I believe he was kicked out of the Creek and Cherokee casinos on the same day for pulling bets and harassing either a female dealer or cocktail waitress.  I think it's in the archives on David Arnutt's web site.  He also got sued by Bill Christiansen for spreading lies about supposed corruption which had given him an unfair business advantage at Riverside Airport.  The Tulsa airwaves didn't lose anything when Mad Dog left.

When he was the afternoon guy at KRMG he was actually really funny with Rick Coury.  He was a Rush disciple but very tolerable.  He didn't wear the Christian angle on his sleeve so much and he seemed like a regular guy, not the megalomaniac he turned into at KFAG.
