There is a Dairy Queen in okmulgee too.

I want White Castle.

Several of us have inquired in the past; their response was 'they have no interest in expanding to Oklahoma'.  Way to lure potential customers.

I agree with the need for White Castle.

But we do need Dairy Queen. Okmulgee's DQ, and quite a few around Oklahoma, are some weird locations, where they serve DQ ice cream products but not DQ food. They serve food that's not Dairy Queen food. There's another location or two like that en route to Dallas.

The nearest places to get a DQ burger: Grove, OK and Independence, KS.

I would also accept Krystal in lieu of White Castle. They're basically the same.

Speaking of fast food TV ads, I just saw this one for the first time the other day. Way better than the current (dated) Braums ads.

My favorites were the QT commercials with Ben "Cooter" Jones and Lamar.

I have looked and can't find any of them on line.

Wasn' that Der Weinerschnitzel? I remember going those those on a A frame building when I lived in California. The drive thru was in in (through) the middle of the building.

Ah Jack in the Crack lol. Last time I went to one in California I ordered a burger, fries and a drink. Got around to the window to pay and the guy asked how hungry I was. They were getting ready to close and instead of throwing the food out the had prepared they gave it to me for nothing. Ended up with like 5 burgers, and a ton of fries and only paid for what I ordered.

They had the fountain drink cups for years after the campaign ended.  A friend of mine who moved from Denver had to ask "who the hell is Lamar?".

You reminded me of the one I went to as a kid in Hobbs, so I had to go onto google earth to see if it was still there, and sure enough.

The three that I remember were on Sheridan across from Service Merchandise, 21st just east of Harvard, (I think that one became Biscut Time or Biscuts Plus) and 41st near Hudson.
There are two of these in Tucson.
