That's awesome.  I view it as a protest against the bailouts and it's damn funny.  Why not bail them out too?  Give me a solid reason... lol.  I really hope and know that they won't get bailed out, but a rare kudos to Larry Flynt.

quote:
“The take here is that everyone and their mother want to be bailed out from the banks to the big three,” said Owen Moogan, spokesman for Larry Flynt. “The porn industry has been hurt by the downturn like everyone else and they are going to ask for the $5 billion. Is it the most serious thing in the world? Is it going to make the lives of Americans better if it happens? It is not for them to determine.”

Francis said in a statement that “the US government should actively support the adult industry's survival and growth, just as it feels the need to support any other industry cherished by the American people."

They're definitely trying to make a statement.  Just hope they don't take their private jets.  If they're smart, they'll do nothing extravagant for a while & make it look like they're really hurting.

I'll be waiting to see the GGW(Government Gone Wild) video

Hurray for Larry Flynt! He is one of the most disgusting vile men in America but he really loves his country and freedoms and fights for it.

He is a power broker's worst nightmare, white trash with money.

Well, here's the deal, consumer debt was down almost $8 bill in Nov. I'd imagine worse in Dec.  That had to have killed internet porn, since (I'm told) most porn is bought with credit cards these days.  Think of your local porn dealer, please support a bail-out for porn, it's good for the kids and their schools...

The porn industry is hard right now. It takes lots of stamina and workers are required to have a lot of different positions. The industry leaders are always adding new partners and like bank accounts, they lose interest quickly after withdrawal.

I just can't seem to get up to my job this afternoon.  Real troubles performing.  Wish I had some sort of career that could really get me excited.  I just need some sort of magic motivational pill.

Do they have something like that?

Saying it's hard is a long-shot, sounds like it's gone soft and flaccid, just like Larry.  It's going to take some serious stimuli to get it back up again.

This is a multi-billion industry.

There is no reason that we should not be aware of the bare facts. Just bail them out and display the bare facts to the general public.

Some of the most popular daytime soap operas show stimulating packages ever day.  After all the stimulus packages only cost the general public of the working poor for paper and ink and a employee to push the button on the printing presses.
