Why would parking at 11th street and Riverside less than 10 feet from the trail not work?
What is wrong with 31st Street and taking the pedestrian bridge to the trail?

There are many parking options that will allow you to avoid being placed in harms way by motorists, without the need to add additional parking at 41st St to accomodate you.

I don't know how to keep people from throwing stuff at you..I run on city streets every day and that has never happened to me. Do you run like quasimodo or the elephant man or Phoebe?
I parked there yesterday when I went for a quick jog and it is not that bad, I parked right near that wooden train track bridge. There was alot of workers out cutting the grass and fixing up the area. Many fishermen were out on the dam. The area is really fixed up nice. Good job "T"-Town! Cheesy

BTW as I was running on Riverside Tuesday, just south  that wooden cross-over bridge at that ramp they were pulling a SUV out of the river. It was gray in color and had it's top crushed in - I have no idea what that was about or who found it, maybe the high water level over the weekend washed the SUV down over the dam or something, I did not see them pull it out of the water, they already had the thing on the cement ramp trying to load it on a wrecker as I went past. A few people were standing around watching the wrecker crew work and it looked like two cops were there looking the SUV over~ Huh

Where's that picture of you and the Tulsa World proving you to be here?

I can pull up that picture of the SUV and pretend I was there too.

Picture of you and a Tulsa World dated that day in an area we can identify or you continue to come off as a liar.

Either that or show up at a bar of your choice and I'll bring the camera and affidavit.

I don't have to prove nothing to you, if you don't believe me or like my opinions that's your problem. That's like the guy who asked Sean Hannity to submit to waterboarding to prove that it's not torture, wisely Sean turned it down what will that prove? (except to give the other guy some kind of jollies that he got Sean Hannity to waterboard himself) I also don't do "dares" or "double dog dares"... I may stop in if I have time to a meet or greet in Tulsa and just say 'hi' or something like that, other than that I have nothing to prove to anyone except myself... geeesh! Undecided

Then append every post you make about our city 'not a resident'.  You try too much to sound like one.

I've been in Tulsa alot lately since we have alot of customers there. Tulsa is like a second city for me. I just came back from spending 7 days there- Both for business and job hunting. I'm surprised how much the booming job market of last year just dryed up and vanished. I have lived in 5 cities: Detroit, Fort Worth, Arlington Texas, Omaha, NE, and Columbus, Ohio so I know a bit about those cities too.

Just because you've been here doesn't make you a resident.  Are you registered to vote in a Tulsa precinct?

Guess what:  I am.

I'm not a voter anywhere... Anyhoo, This forum is about "T" Towne and what goes on, in and around Green Country and "T" town,  and it's for people who are intrested in "T" Town... Not everyone who posts here is a Tulsa resident or votes. This is not a forum about attacking sauerkraut. I give my views and opinions about the places I been to in Tulsa, and everything I say is accurate. Lips sealed

Noticed that some the of mile markers (actually half mile markers) have been installed from around I-44 to the zero mile marker at 11th St. bridge/Southwest Blvd. Circular concrete markers...probably 10" in diameter...embedded flush into the asphalt trails. 2 sets of numbers...inverted...so you can read them going either direction and a nice leaf design in the center. They look sharp.

River Parks Authority FB post:

Quote
Some GREAT news out of this morning's monthly board meeting: River Parks, the City of Tulsa, and the Muscogee Creek Nation are earnestly negotiating the movement of of the trail from 79th to 87th & Riverside to behind the River Spirit Casino. This has been a priority for River Parks for some time. These negotiations are the furthest progression in these talks thus far.

Saw that following the last "REAL" snow we got a couple weeks ago that the RP bike/jogging trails were cleared off even though Riverside was not. Gotta have our priorities.

So we clear the river trails. We don't clear sidewalks, nor do we require anyone to do so. We don't even care if you push all that snow from your parking lot onto the sidewalk and pile it up into a mound that takes a month to melt.
