so we should be thankful that they didn't spend money on new buildings, yet they say they need 15 million dollars to move to the new building? I wonder if this includes moving the mayors office twice? I doubt it.  Anyways, It makes absolutely no sense for her to occupy that space when other space is adequate for her.  Personally, I voted against her, and wish she would have never been elected.

Now how do I throw my name in the hat for mayor? I am 25 yrs old, have a college degree, grew up in a working family.  I will work to fix the streets, fix our crime problem (for which I have some background in) and finally help inteller fight those bastards who want to build a target in his neighborhood! I will also work in any space that is deemed adequate.  I will do my best to see that Randi Miller isn't re elected and that Bells is brought back somewhere locally.  Finally, I will make sure the Driller's stay in Tulsa as well as improve our city's economic future by building great relationships with companies and encouraging them to bring jobs to the Tulsa economy, as well as ensuring the jobs we currently have stay here.  I will work with the commissioners to set a budget that is definitely better then the current one.  Please let me know if I can count on your vote.

I'd vote for you, just because you aren't them.  Them being anyone who actually gets their name on the ballot.  Well, in general.

Paul Tay for District 9!

If you really want to throw your hat in the ring start getting signatures now.  Unless you are running on behalf of one of the two blessed parties in Oklahoma you need something like 5,000 signatures.  SignNazi/aka Paul Tay would know for sure - he usually gets on the ballot.

I'm happy with her. I think she's done a good job of working with what she has.

I am kind of amazed that an announcement that a company was doing some hiring and housing two hundred new jobs in downtown Tulsa was a positive thing.

Others always look for some conspiracy.

Power is nothing till you use it.

It is a good thing.  They could easily have moved somewhere NOT downtown.  I'm glad they employee people in Tulsa, downtown specifically, and that they are hiring.  I am glad they decided to stay downtown (they are currently in the ~ 4 story building near the courthouse on 4th, I think that's the building).

My issue is not with the that company, it is with the lease agreement between the City and Williams Properties/Bok.  Nothing against the companies, it is their job to get a good deal...  but I do not believe the city has acted within their fiscal responsibility with tax payer money and left a loophole in the lease for them to profit.

So kudos to the companies, but I hope the city contracting is not as bad as it seems on the surface.
